Rosemount OPM 3000, OPM 4000 & OPM 4001 Parts, Repair and Replacement
OEM Parts, Repair & Replacement Support
Environmental Monitor Service was the original equipment manufacturer for the Rosemount OPM 3000, OPM 4000 and OPM 4001 opacity monitors. EMS continues to support owners of these systems with replacement parts, factory repair, technical assistance and direct replacement opacity monitoring systems.
Because EMS manufactured these instruments, our technicians understand their optical assemblies, electronics, alignment requirements and installation geometry. We can help determine whether repair, parts replacement or a complete system retrofit is the most practical solution.
Support for Rosemount OPM Opacity Monitors
| Model | Available EMS Support |
|---|---|
| Rosemount OPM 3000 | Technical evaluation, available replacement parts, factory repair and recommendations for a current EMS replacement system. |
| Rosemount OPM 4000 | OEM product knowledge, replacement-component support, repair services and retrofit planning. |
| Rosemount OPM 4001 | Parts availability review, factory service, troubleshooting and direct-replacement guidance for obsolete or unsupported installations. |
Replacement Parts
EMS maintains support for many OPM components and can identify the correct available part using the monitor model, serial number and component information. Contact us before ordering so compatibility can be confirmed.
Factory Repair
Send eligible OPM equipment to EMS for evaluation, cleaning, alignment, component replacement and functional testing. An EMS RMA number is required before shipping equipment.
Field Service
When the problem involves installation, alignment, cabling or site conditions, EMS can review the application and determine whether field service is appropriate.
Direct Replacement Systems
EMS can recommend a current WatchDog opacity monitor based on the regulatory requirements, optical path, flange arrangement, outputs and operating conditions of the existing installation.
Repair or Replace?
An existing OPM 3000, OPM 4000 or OPM 4001 may be a good candidate for repair when its installation remains suitable and the required components are available. Replacement may be the better long-term choice when electronics are obsolete, reliability has declined, parts availability is limited or updated communications and controls are needed.
EMS will review the existing system before recommending a solution. Our goal is to preserve usable equipment when practical and provide a properly engineered replacement when continued repair is no longer cost-effective.
Information Needed for Parts, Repair or Retrofit
To help us respond quickly, please provide as much of the following information as possible:
- Rosemount OPM model number and serial number
- Photographs of the optical head, reflector, controller and nameplates
- Stack or duct optical path length
- Flange-to-flange and plenum-to-plenum dimensions
- Power, output and communication requirements
- Description of the fault, alarm or performance problem
- Facility permit or EPA PS-1 requirements, when applicable
Current EMS Replacement Options
Depending on the application, EMS may recommend the EMS WatchDog dual-pass opacity monitor, the WatchDog 800 single-pass opacity monitor, or the WatchDog PS-1 continuous opacity monitoring system. EMS will match the replacement to the process and reporting requirements rather than assume one model fits every installation.
